Two types of Shared Ride services will be provided in Carrboro: Feeder Service and Evening/Sunday Service.
- Feeder Service, which is provided at no charge between 6:45 am and 6:15 pm on weekdays, provides trips between designated bus stops in the “feeder” zones and the nearest bus route or to another “feeder” zone.
- Evening/Sunday Service is provided to areas that do not have regular evening, Saturday, and Sunday bus service and requires that users pay with Chapel Hill Transit bus tickets (tickets can be purchased at Carrboro Town Hall and other locations).
Funding for the enhanced transit services are being provided through federal Congestion Mitigation / Air Quality (CMAQ) funds and a 50 percent local match from the Town of Carrboro.
