Kai Love is a PhD, writer, motivational speaker, small business owner, singer, poet, comedian, quintessential Pisces, and super nerd, depending on the day. She is a musical force to be reckoned with because of her powerful vocal range, stage presence, songwriting skills, and infusion of spoken words. Kai is a part of the “Beast Women” series and has performed in its seasonal productions since 2015. On March 20, 2017, Kai self-published her first book of poetry titled Sentimentality: A Poetic Curation of Thoughts and Feelings. She released her soulful singing and spoken-word debut EP, Little Star, which won the National Poetry Award-Best Album 2016. Kai recently won the Black Poetry Café-Poetry Superstar Award for January 2017. She is also an avid traveler who has performed all over the world and really strives to keep #LOVE at the center of art.
