On behalf of the members of the Carrboro Fire Rescue Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. We hope you take the time to learn more about our department through the various pages and links. The Carrboro Fire Rescue Department is comprised of 36 dedicated personnel who not only protect the Town of Carrboro, but also the South Orange Fire District. These areas represent over sixteen square miles and an estimated population of more than 25,000.

We are an ISO Class 2 department operating out of two fire stations. In addition to responding to emergency incidents (fires, emergency medical incidents, etc.) we also provide services to the community (community fire risk reduction, community outreach, and public education). Our mission is to protect the lives, property, and the community from the destructive effects of all hazards by providing community risk reduction and emergency response services. Additionally, our goal is to exceed expectations of the community and the people we serve.

Once again, welcome to our web page, and please contact us if you have any additional questions or have suggestions to improve our services to you. You can either send an email or call (919) 918-7347.
